when starting loader "we got a big problem here"

hey guys,

when i start the game with the loader, the game will crash and i get the following message:

"we got a big problem here "

but when i start the game with the normal lod.exe, there is no crash nor message.
the problem is, that i can only run 1 copy of diablo 2 with the lod.exe. with the loader i can open more than 1 copy of d2.

is there any fix for this? i already reinstalled the realm but no change.

 

same happens to me and I have not yet found a solution for this.

I use http://www.sandboxie.com/ to be able to run multiple d2s

well, i think i have to try the first advice, because i already tried the other one unsuccessfully.
and i downloaded sandboxie, its very nice but i can only open one more d2. but its usefull until i find a solution.

 

crack it for as many d2s as u want

 

i had that problem before i just went and used d2multi its a little slower than loader but it works, there is also another method of just crackin the game to not look for other copies running that involves replacing just 1 file i think it was the playd2.mpq it may have ben one of the dozen .dll files not too sure
but i do know that d2multi is the best alternative if you cant use the loader and cant figure out the file that needs replaced or find one to replace it with
