    Hello,

Ever since this new patch,I've been experiencing some weird stuttering, freezing and fps drops....I'm pretty sure it's something to do with wide screen res...

Any info would be greatly appreciated, maybe how to revert to 800x600 without reinstalling D2

There's a Readme.txt file associated with D2WideScreen, it tells you to simply delete 2 files to revert the change, don't remember them by heart. But I have tested that option, it works.
And it has nothing to do with the new patch, only with D2WideScreen, which is a stand-alone app.

Ugh, it would be fantastic if we knew what to delete because since this morning logging in my friend has been unable to play without a crazy strong lag kicking in. After 20-30 seconds of being connected to a new game and his game starts skipping frames and choking up. It goes from like max frames to 5-10 fps over 10 sec, then it gets even worse and turns into like 1 or 0 frames per second. If anyone knows anything that can help please message me, we want to play together so badly. He never had this issue til this morning. Which 2 files could I delete to attempt fixing? Thank you!

@dahappygoat, give us some more information about this. Maybe your friend is not even using widescreen at all. Also, using the search button will help you find similar threads and solutions too.
As @sphinx25 already mentioned, instructions are provided into the text files that come with the archive. If he is using widescreen tell him to check the Uninstall.txt file inside of this game folder or from the widescreen archive he downloaded, otherwise if he is not using widescreen and he is experiencing FPS drops he can give glide-wrapper a try by reading this post http://forum.europebattle.net/threads/common-game-errors-and-fixes.532466/#post-764276

What more information do you need gix? I'm bout to record a video of the frames dropping to show you what happens every single time we run the game no matter what we try

So is your friend using widescreen or not? If he does then follow the mentioned steps and uninstall widescreen, then let us know.
If you're saying he was fine this morning though you can also ask him what he did the day before, did he maybe upgraded any video drivers or some other software updates?
