   okay so im wondering ive played a mod and i know they have a modified d2win.dll to allow their d2hd.dll and d2multires.mpq could i simply copy said files over to the folder usabattle is in and have it work or do i need to tell something to load said files on boot????

   You should take a look at our http://europebattle.net/d2/tools page, we introduced D2HD years ago and that mod is using the same files as we do. In fact, our D2HD uses a newer and better revision.
   PS: Please avoid mentioning other mod names or their website, you can simply call them "different mods" or you can send us a PM.
