Solved Error c000000005. Help please.

    I have looked at a few of the posts about this already and tried fixing it. I can not, for the life of me, fix this. I am on windows 10 and can't turn off my DEP. I don't even have the ability to open dep. I tried doing the CMD version of shutting it off but it will not allow me to do it. This only happens when I try to go online, it works fine on single player.

    Our install guide doesn't tell you to turn off DEP completly http://usabattle.net/d2/join
    Step 4) is what you need.
    If DEP is disabled completly on your computer like in this image http://11986-presscdn-0-77.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/DEP-disabled.jpg then you will need to turn it on, this quick guide that google came up with should solve your issue https://appuals.com/enable-disable-data-execution-protection-in-windows-10/

    Make sure you follow the install guide from our website, step by step. Run the game only through our custom launcher and it's recommended to do it in window mode rather than full screen.

    Post a screenshot of your DEP, your antivirus and windows defender status. Also you haven't mentioned the moment you get this error, it's upon pressing the battlenet button or in-game?

    I've quoted step 4) in my previous post yet according to your screenshot the DEP settings are incorrect so you need to click each executable listed in that list and remove them before proceeding to the next step then select first DEP option which is Turn on DEP for essential windows programs and services only as you are instructed to do and restart your computer.
    I'm not sure why did you select `reduce color mode`in the executable properties window so uncheck that and leave it as default.

    What antivirus you used to have, before uninstalling?

    You haven't answered my second question:

    Thank you, I misread that instruction. I did what you said and it works now. I feel so stupid for misreading that lol. Thank you sir!
