    Hey,
Long story short, internet at home been out for couple days. I've been using my iPhone to create a hot spot to connect and play.
I've uninstall the d2 and reinstalled it again but when game guard is connecting, it will say fail to connect.
My guess on it is that i'm using the hotspot but what's your take on it?

So you were able to connect with your home internet before or your iPhone hotspot?
Could you post a screenshot of the message? Check if there are some limitations, firewall turned on, etc.

This means that the game guard cannot connect to the database and verify the integrity of the files. Try turning off the firewall and antivirus in case you have one.
Could you also try launching the game from your iPhone hotspot and once you are in-game switch to your home internet connection and see if that works.

Hmm that’s so odd because I never experienced this issue before. I’ll give it a try once I have my internet back. Thanks for the help.
My finding is that I already used up too much data on my hotspot and the speed is too slow. When i first use my hotspot to play d2, i had no issues of connecting because I had a lot of data (shitty at&t probably reduced my speed like crazy) but now it keep on saying "failed to connect" for the game guard.

FIX! so it was the hotspot issue.
