Is it possible to get items for SORC and MERC from act2?
I'm currently stuck on quests 2 act1 level hell
And I can't kill anything because a lot of creatures have either high absorption to light or immunity
And does anyone recommend a loot filter for a beginner?

I definitely recommend Atox's filter to begin with, it's nicely set up, and very well documented which means you'll be able to modify it easily to your own taste once you understand the coding a little bit.
