Hey everybody , I know it's a weird question (some admin may move this), but somebody knows if you can go to the beach in Los Angeles in February , I mean to take a bath in the Pacific? A friend of mine is taking a vacation in the States , California to be exact , and he needs to know if the water is cold and how's the weather in February there . Thanks
    Cheers

February in Los Angeles remains as cool as January but with a little less rain and slightly more sunshine. With average daily temperatures remaining as cool as they ever get in Los Angeles, there are highs of 18°C (about 64°F) and lows of 8°C (around 46°F). The average temperature sits around 13°C (about 55°F). These temperatures are relatively warm in a comparison to the same time of year in most European areas, but you may hear native Angelinos complaining of cold!

The sun still shines for an average of nine hours a day, lots of time to enjoy outdoor activities in the city. The average rainfall is slightly less than January, around 76mm on average for the month. The chance of getting a sunny day on any given February day is, on average, 57 percent.

You would be advised to bring some warmer clothes for the evenings but obviously during the day you would be fine to be out and about in lighter clothing. There may also be a risk of rain so keep an umbrella, raincoat or poncho handy. On average, there are six rainy days during the month of February, the same as January. There is also a 26 percent chance of a rainy day and 24 percent chance of a cloudy day each day of February.

The air will be colder on the coasts than inland, so plan accordingly. The average sea temperature remains chilly at around 15°C (about 59°F), so it still would not be wise to attempt to go swimming unless you are prepared with a good quality wet or dry suit. If you are brave, you could at least stick your toes in the water and at the very least, you can enjoy the sunshine on the beaches.
