Solved Unable to connect to the realm server?

    Unable to connect to the realm server???

    Keep getting this message, tried several times over a couple of days.
    It's my first time trying to setup for the server so i'm not sure where i'm going wrong.
    I've done a couple of fresh installs using various 113c installers just to be sure. I'm currently installed off the recommended install .rar, extracted archive files to my d2 folder. Running in admin mode (windows 10), tried the .reg and manual update methods, Always the same message. I've forwarded the port in question on my router and have been disabling my firewall for testing when trying to run the game, always with the same result.

    Is the server still live? if so any ideas on a fix? The only thing i can think is in a past life i was running tabbed diablo but after several fresh installs i would hope its killed it...

    What the hell is that error... lol, I rarely encounter errors I'm seeing for the first time now. Are you are running it through your EuropeBattle.exe ?

    Server is live and kicking

    On W10 you need to run your .exe in XP Sp2 Compatibility mode, although I wouldn't think that would solve your issue, in this particular situation.

    made a new account and it fixed it :/

    Now im really confused.

    Only thing i can think is the account name format, D2 client allows you to create accounts containing special charachters ie: -AccountName-
    which i don't think the server liked ^^

    Oh, lol, you can only create an account through the website.

    Indeed, the account name was the problem (mainly because your first letter was "-"). Next time when you need to register a new account do it through the website and don't use any special symbols before the account name. Welcome aboard !
