Unable to identify version error

    Hello guys first sorry for my bad english.I have problems connecting to the server, when i install diablo 2 + Lod i download 1.13c patch and than realm patch, than i add the server info in the gateway editor and try to connect, everythink is fine for now when i click on Battle.Net it says that my diablo 2 "unable to identify version" i run it as administrator and compability with windows XP SP2.I try to reinstall the game and its all the same, reinstall by discs - not work, download installed version - not work.I'm running windows 7 profesional x64. Can you help me please ?

    Ok i try to delete my gateway editor and than install another one i add the information set it to choosen - dont work.I reinstal the game 3 times using different patches and again it dont work

    Quick question Gix, maybe a fix for you Scribblewins. I run a x64 win7 as well, and faced similar problems, turning on DEP solved the version/loader issues. Why is that ?

    can you explain me what is DEP and how can i turn it on please ?

    x100 thank you man i try everything ahhh and this was the salution now i can play :) you shoud make threat with this as important i see a lot of people cant fix it.

    @Scribblewinz, 5 people can't be translated by a lot :) But this is why we have a search button and a forum for support.
    Many of us got the same OS and never faced this issue.

    I'm glad it's fixed now and thumbs up @Pandaren_928 for your help.


    PS: The problem here would be the wrong thread title that some people added and yours is one of them since it should describe the problem and not just "big problem". I will edit your thread to match to the error you get so people that may encounter this issue will find the fix really fast when they will search the forum.
