Unable to play on a mac?

    My buddy is trying to join me and play on the server. The problem he has is, when he downloads the installer, it doesn't seem to be running as an exe. It opens a window with the message "Unable to run in DOS mode" and displays what looks to be code. Is it possible to play on a mac? Is there something we are doing wrong?

    No idea if Diablo II works on mac, but in case it does just download our patch in .zip format and not the installer.

    Extract the archive inside Diablo II folder and run the .reg realm file


    EDIT: Seems that D2 works on mac as i've seen some youtube tutorials so just download our server patch as .zip and not .exe

    Also, probably you'll have to search on google for a diablo II loader 1.13c that will work on mac

    D2 works definitely on a Mac! Bear in mind that you can't use the windows (DOS) installer and .exe Files on a Mac. You need to download the Mac version.

    Did he buy it directly from Blizzard or does he use another version?

    Indeed, D2 works on mac. As theArchitect adviced, you will need to download the mac version and then download our .zip patch and also i think you may start the game without looking for a mac d2 loader 1.13c

    He bought an electronic copy directly from blizzard. Is that an issue? Do you guys have any good links for a download for macs?

    Well, you can download the Mac version directly from the Blizzard store!
