How to find good trap claws and fast.

Are you a trapper and tired of seen this View image: Screenshot004 ? You want more than 3 traps (3ls) claw ?
Well this is the right thread Now I will show you a better and faster way to "farm" anya for trap claws.

Now the first thing you need is an assassin. With assassin you can find 4LS , 5 LS and 6LS claws faster. Like this ones

As you can see those claws could be Greater Talons or Runic Talons which are the fastest claws for trap laying. So we need to find 2nd or 3rd class claws. Classes that anya can offer you are :
Blade talons - Greater Talons - Runic Talons
Scissor Katar -Scissors Quhab - Scissors Suwayyah

For a faster farming we need to see only Greater Talons, Runic Talons, Scissors Quhab and Scissors Suwayyah. But how to separate light claws ( class 1 ) from heavy claws (class 2 and 3) ? Here is a little trick
First strip your assassin as that she has 60-70 str or dex. Like this - View image: Screenshot005
And now that we have 60 str for example we see the shop like this - View image: Screenshot006

As you can see light claws are in blue background there for we can wear them and heavy claws are in red background - we can't wear them because we don't have 60 str - View image: Screenshot007

So now as soon as we click on the weapon section we can separate heavy from light claws
To make your farming even much faster get as much Faster Run Walk as you can. Here are some ways : Cast Burst of Speed skill, wear items with frw, boots, enigma and such.


If we are looking for a 3+ls claw there MUST be atleast 1-2-3 to traps or 1-2 assa.
For 4ls claw :
1 assa, 3ls
2 assa, 2ls
3 traps, 1 ls
2 traps, 2 ls
1 traps, 3 ls

For 5ls claw:
2 assa, 3 ls
3 traps, 2ls
2 traps, 3ls

For 6ls claw:
3 traps, 3ls

As you can see 6ls claw is very hard to find because there is only one possibility. Personally I've never found it. My best claw was 2 assa 3 ls Greater Talons and I was lucky to get 2 sockets from Larzuk

As long as you don't see in the first magic bonus +X to assassin / traps there is no point looking down the rest bonuses.
Also it's good if your assassin is lvl 85+. Some people say the higher lvl, the best chance for a heavy claw to appear.
A big dose of optimism is required to find 4ls+ claw. I've been searching for a month, 2 hours daily to find my 5 ls claw.

Well for fool's claw it's basically the same drill. You need a heavy claw to give you extra skills (ls, venom, mb, shadow). :smile:

Actually an excellent guide. Only I wouldn't necessarily limit my options quite as much. I allowed for slightly heavier Str/Dex

yeah at anya u should also look for yellow gloves which is 20 ias gloves. if u get a 3jav20ias its like a ber.
and u could get armor whit 4 soc + 100 hp whit is good for some build they look red.

So red portal to nilathak for reset the shop in few seconds.
On the first page check red armor color and yellow gloves .
then go claws and check the blue one.
i farm anya like only 6 hours and i found one 6 LS. larzuck only give me one socket sadly..
its like pretty boring but well this claws for trapper is the best : + 12 to LS whit just the weapons vs 5 whit hoto spirit.

The time needed to shot a decent mh claw from anya is brutal. I'd say farm gris for base gt, rush some chars and imbue 3x. 40 ias is not hard to get and staffmods are almost guaranteed. Just do it with 73+ chars
