Announcement Diablo II Ladder Reset - 25 September 2026

The time has come, heroes of Sanctuary ... Season 12 begins on Friday, 25 September 2026. Get ready for the ladder reset!
Sharpen your skills, prepare your builds and gather your allies, Season 12 will be your next chance to conquer the Ladder, claim legendary loot, and rise to the top!

Alongside the ladder reset we will be releasing a new realm patch, patch notes will be available in the coming weeks. Until then, finish strong and prepare for a fresh start!



On the day of Friday, September 25th, we’ll be conducting a maintenance in order to reset the Diablo II ladder. The realm will be unavailable for a few minutes and during this time all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact so they will not be lost, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as ladder-only rune words. Please keep in mind that due to our long-term ladders, the vast majority of our players are playing ladder characters only.

This ladder reset, like all those before it, creates a clean slate where all ladder characters begin at level 1 with no previous items to help them. To participate, simply wait until the Diablo II realms return to service on September 25, log in to the server, and select the “Ladder Character” checkbox when creating a new character. You can track ladder character leveling progress by clicking on the Ladder button from the main Diablo II in-game interface. You won't need to change anything on your side, you will still be able to log in with the same accounts that you own and use the same game version. To participate in the new season, all you have to do is create a new Ladder Character once the ladder has been reset and if you wish to use your old nickname, you can delete your previous non-ladder character and take back your name.
