Probably going to sound like an idiot but.....

    An admin had installed the game on my computer, and because it wasn't a paid copy, but rather a cracked copy, when I had to reset the computer, getting it back wasn't an easy option. A friend of mine has an install disk that he's going to let me use to get the game back on my computer. My question is, when you use the disk to play it, do you have to have the disk every time you play, or is it just install the program and play whenever?

    I assume so. I have a cracked copy as well. Just keep the zip file handy (in an email, flash drive, or drop box.)

    You can browse google or any torrent for the diablo2 disks (cracked copies). Once downloaded you can mount the disks images (.iso) using a light software like MagicDisc, deamontools, etc and install/re-install the game.
    In order to avoid mounting the CD image everytime you want to run the game then make sure to copy the MPQ files (such as d2music.mpq, d2data.mpq, d2speech.mpq and d2sfx.mpq) from the expansion CD inside your Diablo II installation folder. That's all.

    Well,worse case scenario,if you can't get it working,I might have an idea so,send me a PM if it doesn't work.I only tried a cracked copy once,with D1,and got a bad virus from it.

    That is why I'm trying not to go the cracked copy route. I almost tanked my daughter's laptop. Which is why I had to reset it. I'll get back to you tomorrow. I need sleep lol.

    I have a direct play d2 torrent if you want it. Already 1.13c. You just have to open the folder and click the d2 icon

    Diablo2 cracked copy can't give you any viruses unless you don't download the actual game so don't worry about that. As long as what you're download contains the .iso files it's just like having the original cd's except you can't play on bnet w/o a legit key and trust me, there are lot of people out there that play this game without an original key.

    Ask Endotoxin for the link and you will be good to go.
