Problem with d2 Crashing

    I didn't have much of a problem with d2 crashing after the new patch until today. Now when I exit a game, either by clicking save and exit or by using "=" (next game in MH), I get a message saying "unhandled exception, access violation c000005". I downloaded the patch again and installed it, I know it installed because there are 3 new icons on my desktop. I also put it on service pack 2 (XP). Kinda lost here, I can't imagine why this is happening.

    Seems to be okay now. I forgot to restart PC after installing patch. I also noticed that I had 2 folder for MH on my PC, Stings, and one called hackmap. I'm using hackmap now and it's not crashing.

    This error comes from DEP, it's not related to patch, mh, etc. A simple restart or reinstall is fixing this problem (you already got a solution inside fix common problems sticky thread)

    Since this has been solved, I'll close the thread.
