What Keeps You Going?

So I've played Diablo 2 for a while. I have a fully geared Hammerdin, Javazon, Necro CE, Smiter and am not sure what to build next. I haven't done much PVP. What is that like and does that provide continued reason to farm?

I enjoy the farming in this game a ton. I'm mainly looking for what keeps you all going after having the majority of the gear needed to farm.

To be frank, the main downside of this server is a drop rate (much too high), which makes that everyone, after one month or even earlier, has perfect, endgame items.
I think that if it is so easy the ladder should last one year max. so people would have new challenges and not get bored. Another way is to bring back original settings, remove all these maphacks, autoteleports to make this game a challenge. Unfortunatelly, every item which is not perfect is sold to Akara here. There is no fun in finding random shako or raven...

Although you come with a similar post almost every year, this isn't a thread about ladder resets and personal preference of how long ladders should last. There is a reason why private servers or mods exist, they are supposed to make the game easier and different than battlenet otherwise if you would like to play with all the original settings then you should try the original servers while you are on a break from here. What is a downside for you is an upside for many others, after all, thousands of players are playing actively in here for over 15 years including you. There will be people who may want 4 months ladders or less, some who may be for the 1-2 years range interval and others that they wouldn't even want ladders resets to exist, you cannot please everyone and we use whatever works best for you. Not every item that is not perfect is sold to Akara, absolutely not. Sure, lowend items may be given away for free later into the ladder instead of being sold but even those worth something during a ladder reset, however, it's not like finding a below perfect Shako takes ages in the original game and trades for a fortune either. It won't take you long to find one and you will trade it for something like an Ist or so anyway so it's not like you just had tons of fun farming a shako. Try finding some high tier items instead, might want to try and get level 99 too, pvp inventory is highly challenging as well, play different classes and so on.

The OP is clearly saying he enjoys farming a lot and he asks what he should build next and what people usually do after having most of the gear they want and please don't tell us that you farmed all endgame items as perfect within a month when most people don't even do that during an entire ladder. Sure you get some decent items within a month, enough to farm in peace but nowhere near having all or most endgame items and definitely not perfect quality either. Add charms to this and most likely you won't be able to do all this within the timeframe of a ladder or more.
Not long ago you were asking for 2 years ladders in this post and you're now reducing it to one year besides, you are posting something similar about ladder resets pretty much every single year, usually shortly after you become inactive which is usually about 1 year into the ladder as I noticed. It's alright and normal if you get bored faster than someone else but everyone has its own pace, new players join every day and there is a lot of activity overall still which is what always made us unique, some of the older players may take a break every now and then and come back after a while which is absolutely a normal thing to do in this game. Be patient for when a new season starts and meanwhile or after a break you can too start a new character maybe, play classic, duels, complete your endgame items collection, etc. Imagine if we would do ladder resets based on each one's personal preference, we would have one every single day.
