Solved what to socket in my hire's head?!

Hii guys . so i play my summonmancer and my question is what is the best jewel to socket in the guillaumes face that my hireling is using? my best guess is 15 ias/ed or 15ias/max or min damage? (currently i just have a 15 ias jewel equiped) Any advice and opinion is welcome! thanks in advance!

 

Well Pvm wise yes 40/15 jewel or plain 15ias jewel

 

if for pmv go with max/ias i think or Ist rune for mf

 

Really anything you see fit. Most of my mercs have either a plain IAS jewel or Ral in their Guillames.

 

You need to think for whole merc package. IMHO the merc has the only mission ti kill fast 1-2 monsters, then the corpse explosion chain reaction will clear everything.
I use Andy plus IAS. Also, Inifity, Nosferatu, Goblin Toe, ravenFrost, crafted gloves with 20 IAS + 10% crushing blow.

This setup allow my merc:

• higher IAS breakpoints. Very fast killing machine....... (and yes, I tried Forti also)
• cannot be frozen
• huge crushing blow
• conviction aura

For me works like a charm. Amp damage, he killed some fast, corpse explosion. Then, teleport to next monster package

 

i use Inifity cv , Nosferatu, Goblin Toe, carrion wind, Highlords wrath, Guillaumes Face with IAS jewel, treachery,and 20 ias gloves (i miss 10% cb here) with this i reach 90% cb+ (100+ if i find good gloves) wich i like for bosses and also have around 110 ias and fanatisiscm aura . Ilike to be able to kill bosses fast too.

no WAY, that jewel is overkill. Sell it, and use a regular IAS 15%. It is more than enough....

 

Ehh Dont u have problems getting corpses because with ravenfrost it has chance to shatter the mob which may not be able to be used for corpse explosion. Same with fortitude shiver armor proc.

And also like this game mostly have demon monsters so Laying of hands gloves (set bramble mitts) is good alternative gloves for merc (350% damage to demons) 20 ias,Fire resistances which is absolutely great for merc and on attack chance to proc holy bolt.

 

i agree with @Fatty180 there, i use those gloves on my hire but i really want 20 ias 10 cb +str gloves, i think they are the best choice.

 

I crafted myself 20ias/10CB , not big deal, really. Also, I will try LoH, I am open to any good ideea

As I said , think the whole gear as package. My summoner use this instead of HoTo or King Leoric. Fana aura help my merc to kill fast, all I need is 1-2 bodies to start corpse explosion chain...

used this setup on act2 nm merc with my java - ideal for phys + light immune, boss killing
guilam + 15% ias jwl (35% cb, 15% ias)
