Solved Cannot break or upgrade high runes

    Hello,

    I took a break from playing Diablo 2 for about a year and now getting back into this server I have an issue with the Runes(upgrade, downgrade)
    It seems that I can't break high runes or upgrade them.
    For example: I have a few high runes laying around which I can't seem to break or upgrade (Ber)
    I also did a few runs to get new matching runes which I couldn't break/upgrade as well(Lum)

    There is no problem with low runes(first 10 I think).

    Something to mention is that I've deleted my old Diablo 2 when I stopped playing and now I'm not sure if I downloaded the same client as before.(if it makes any sense).
    To connect to the server I've downloaded and extracted the "EuropeBattle Archive" into my D2 folder

    Hi, @dev40 your character is most likely a non-ladder one and it was created before the last ladder reset. Try and create a ladder character.
    Also here is a list with our custom features.

    Beat me to it. Also you just put the rune in the cube and it will break down - read the guide! :)

    Hello and welcome back, @dev40. If you can create and join games then you have already downloaded the right client files.
    As for your initial question, your character is a non-ladder character as @Atox mentioned in his post and by default, those are ladder only features.
