Looking to build a price check guide (need help from community)

So I thought the community should build a price check guide, something that can be modified easily if need be. Asking for a price check on any particular item can be annoying for all parties involved.

Hi,
We discussed this with the team and we already decided, even before the ladder started, not to use any official or unofficial price list thread simply because prices vary from week to week, from seller to seller, etc. One of the biggest problems we faced when we had an informative price list in the previous ladder is that it needs constant updating.
The second problem is the fact that some people don't understand what informative means and that was constantly causing discussions that would end up with fights and insults over some item price that was listed there, wich was either outdated or the seller/buyer was asking more/less that the listed price.
Some people can sell less or higher than the prices stated and while some prices such as for token, soj are fixed, even pgems price can vary, someone could pay 50 pgems for vex and not 40.
Also, there will be players that won't agree with some of our prices which is only going to turn this into an unnecessary discussion thread and therefore there won't be a guide anymore.

So the internet ruined it... it's a shame... I would've settled for prices like: Between 3 Bers and 5 Bers. Giving people some room to bargain and making it easier to edit. I would've updated the list as soon as someone pointed out a drop or a spike in the price of one or another item.

You're saying that now but it's highly unlikely you will be still doing that a year from now for example and that will automatically become a problem. There is a reason why items price lists don't work well or they don't exist at all in most online games and that is because you cannot assign a static value, wherever there is an active market then prices will vary. We were considering lately though to add a small informative list of common items only that usually never change their price but pretty much every other item price does vary during the ladder. Also, as you can notice there is no more than a couple of people that are price checking items on a regular basis and it would be nice to have more people willing to help with that.
If you wish to help with price checking items you can start with being active in the price check thread, that would be highly appreciated and it would support your initial idea.

The last time we used an item price list was back in Season 7 (2014-2016) and here is the old thread that we used, it is now cleaned. If you are going to set a price between 3-5 bers as per your example, depending on the item it could either make most people obviously go for the maximum given price or cause a lot of arguing and fights "because the forum says so" and this did happen many times before. Many more contributors would be required too and then some people will start considering some of the personal price checks as being biased which leaves room for more arguing. We are very lucky to have members like @Atox, @inayat and a few others that have been constantly helping with price checks for quite some time now and unlike an informative list, in a thread, the same item can be price checked differently by two different people.

PS: I appreciate the effort you put into writing all those item names, though you would have had to price almost all of them by yourself otherwise you would have seen more people contributing for the actual price check thread and it was pretty much the same several years ago when we used an official list and we had a contribution thread of the item prices open for it.
