About 1600 runs at nihl with 2 paladins ...as you can see that is the drop

Thanks! I use two paladins for runs, the first have 97 mf and second 144 mf.

 

thats my corona just id'ed (got it some days ago), not bad eh? and an ohm and soj i got tonight.

 

Fatty, Cylon (and the others, who don't know) as i said in my last post, Nihlathak is one of the edited monsters IN THIS SERVER and MF does not effect him, because he drop ALWAYS, only uniques and rare items, but the rares - if only when the unique version does not exist - for example circlets...

First engine calculation is to "pick" monster TC and "pick something" from the monster TC - and this IS NOT efected by the mf, this is a calculation from parameters* by random roll, of the "dice" ...
MF helps ONLY in the second engine calcaulation, when the enige calculated the chances that an item, when dropped, will be Unique, Set, Rare or Magic...
Example...
If the game "decides" a Sacred Armor will drop - it will drop. Only then does MF affect what quality the Sacred Armor will be - Unique, Set, Rare, Magic, Bla, Bla, Bla...
Personal example from the past few hours...
4 Diadems in Ruined Temple - 1 awful Magic Diadem ; 1 Set/M'avina's Diadem... ; 2 very awful Rare Diadems - and no one Unique Diadem/Griffon's Eye...

*You can check the complex system of the TC's in the TreasureClassEx.txt and/or MonStats.txt...
Magic Find Guide by Hrus and/or Magic Find in Diablo 2, a mathematical treatment by Malawiglenn - in google - are also very, very, very iseful almanachs!!!


P.S.
And you should be glad, because IN THIS SERVER, with these edited monsters, the chances for Tyrael's Might are much, much, much more - then from the original/unedited monsters...
So... Just keep doing Nihlathak (if you like the easiest way, because Nihlathak is the easiest way...) runs and just give 2/3 beers to Gix and Ezekiel for this easy way to get something - which is actually much, much, much more difficult...


Now - back to the purpose of the thread!!!

Steelrend - from Ruined Temple ; Diadem/Tiara - from Gamble ; Boots are from "Blood" craft recepie...
